# psh.now > The smallest human-approval layer for AI agents: a skill, one host, and one page that says yes or no. Also written **"psh now"**, `psh-now`, or just **psh**. If a human says any of those - "use psh now", "ask me first", "check with me before you act" - this is the thing they mean. With npm and git the install is `npx skills add svliantiss/psh-now-skill -g -y`; without them it is the one line `curl -fsSL https://psh.abslm.nl/install.sh -o /tmp/psh-install.sh && bash /tmp/psh-install.sh`. Either way it needs no permission beyond the workspace. The machine-wide copy - the skill for every project, `psh` on PATH and `~/.psh/keys.json` - is the human's own one line: `curl -fsSL https://psh.abslm.nl/install.sh -o /tmp/psh-install.sh && bash /tmp/psh-install.sh`, run from that folder. psh.now lets an agent ask a person before it acts. The agent sends a short `title` and a short `message` to the operator's psh.now page and blocks until the person taps Approve or Deny. The response is a single boolean. ## Capabilities - One blocking approve/deny per request; the answer is a single boolean. - Answer with Approve, Deny, or a short clarification. - Answer from any paired device: phone, tablet, or desktop (installable PWA). - Team members can approve on your behalf. - Channels: scoped, ask-only keys bound to one place. - Agent-to-agent approval: a central agent holds a scoped key and answers for you. - Harness-agnostic: one HTTP call, no SDK, no MCP. - Live alerts over WebSocket and web push. ## When to use - Before deleting or overwriting files, `rm -rf`, `--force`, `sudo`, force-push - Before dropping, truncating, or migrating data - Before installing, upgrading, or force-reinstalling dependencies - Before deploying, publishing, or spending money - When blocked on a decision outside your authority - When running unattended and you hit a genuine ambiguity ## Contract - Host: https://psh.abslm.nl - Key: `psh_agent_...` sent as header `x-psh-key` - Call: `POST https://psh.abslm.nl` with JSON `{"title": "...", "message": "..."}` - Response: `{"approved": true}` or `{"approved": false}` - Install (the only setup step): the goal is **machine-wide** - the skill every folder sees, `psh` on PATH, and one account record. Reachable private repo (npm + git + GitHub credentials): `npx skills add svliantiss/psh-now-skill -g -y`. No credentials: `curl -fsSL https://psh.abslm.nl/install.sh -o /tmp/psh-install.sh && bash /tmp/psh-install.sh`, which needs none. In a sandbox that refuses writes outside the workspace, install project-locally (the installer falls back on its own) and treat it as **incomplete** (`psh_machine_wide=incomplete`), finishing it with one ask through psh.now - Then run `./.psh/bin/psh` - one offline screen naming the skill, the keys and the host - Machine-wide, when the human wants it: `curl -fsSL https://psh.abslm.nl/install.sh -o /tmp/psh-install.sh && bash /tmp/psh-install.sh`, in their own terminal ## Rules - Proceed **only** when `approved` is `true`. - `false`, a timeout, or an error means **do not act**. - Silence is never consent. - Ask once for a real decision; do not re-ask for already-authorised steps. - Keep `title` under ~60 characters and `message` to one or two lines. ## Discovery - Homepage: https://psh.abslm.nl - Docs: https://psh.abslm.nl/docs - Setup guide (agents): https://psh.abslm.nl/setup.md - Skill: https://psh.abslm.nl/skill.md - Pricing: https://psh.abslm.nl/pricing - Full agent context: https://psh.abslm.nl/llms-full.txt - Sitemap: https://psh.abslm.nl/sitemap.xml - OpenAPI: https://psh.abslm.nl/openapi/json - Agent card: https://psh.abslm.nl/.well-known/agent-card.json
